NEWS ON CARYS - GENTIANA GOLDEN TOPAZ, RESIDING IN THE UNITED STATES
We were very pleased to hear that Carys, Gentiana Golden Topaz, has been on Ohio television with Cindy. This was a follow up interview from when Cindy had appeared with Tegan. In the previous interview the British and American Breed Standards were discussed and compared. In this programme the host interviewer was interested to learn the process of importing a puppy from England to The States. "He was really taken with Carys" commented Cindy, and then went on to say that "Carys was an angel, she posed and then went to sleep for the rest of the show." Then photographs were shown of the dam and sire Mitcharron Memphis Mist for Gentiana -Shiana, and Mitcharron River Phoenix for Gentiana - Alexander. Photographs were also shown of the local area around Morecambe Bay when Cindy & Tony came over. A photo of the tv appearance (copyright Tony Smith) can be seen on the Litter Page.

The photos show both of us and our goldens over the past 25 years and may suggest to you the reason for our dedication to "Goldens." Above all, a wonderful temperament, a Golden Retriever is a "go-anywhere, do anything - always wanting to be with you kind of dog." The perfect companion.
Gentiana Golden Tamara - Violet - is now 15 months old (see above for recent headstudy) She is a daughter of Shiana and Alexander
We are not commercial breeders, and generally only breed when we want a puppy ourselves and endeavour to improve our line. Families wishing to obtain a Golden Retriever puppy from us usually have to wait, but this should not deter those who are dedicated to improving the breed.
All of our dogs live with us in our home, are first and foremost our pets for life and we do not pass any on at any age.
Our Affix - Gentiana - is derived from the name of one of our lovely girls - Gartraith Gentian Image at Gentiana - Genny as we call her, was born in the Spring and is as beautiful as the Alpine Spring flower - Gentian.

In our Image Gallery you will find photos of all our girls and boys of whom we are very proud. Some of the images show our dogs in natural surroundings whilst others show them either in the Show Ring or practising for a show.

All our dogs have their Pet Passports and have travelled with us to France. If anyone would like advice on taking their dog(s) onto the Continent we would be pleased to give any advice we can.
Major was our first Golden Retriever - he was a son of Sh Ch Jobeka Jasper of Nortonwood. It was through this beautiful dog that we came to love this breed so much
